the Bridge an international Phuket Church โบสถ์แคล'วะรีแชพ'เพิลที่สะพาน
An international evangelical Bible church for Southern
Thailand
This international Phuket church is located in Thachatchai
in the Thalang district, Mai Khao sub district near the Mai Khao Beach. We
are next to the Sarasin bridge that connects the provinces of Phang Nga and
Phuket
The bridge between God and Man is Jesus Christ.
Sin has caused a separation between man and God, the Lord
Jesus Christ bridges that gap and allows us to have a relationship with God.
Please come be a part of our fellowship
We are a friendly evangelical church with verse by verse
Bible exposition. We are a fellowship of believers desiring to grow in our walk
and relationship with Jesus Christ and see people through Phuket become
believers. We desire to minister to both Thais and foreign residents and
visitors.
Our church meets in the Thachatchai Community Center.
If you are coming from Phuket or the airport go past the
Thachatchai check point and turn left on Soi Thachatchai. The church is near the
police station just before you get to the Sarasin Bridge to Phang Nga. It is
about 15 minutes north of the airport, easy to find, just off the main highway.
Services are Sundays at 10:00 a.m.
English and Thai. We are currently studying through the
book of Acts. Come learn about the work of the Holy Spirit and God used the
first Christians to turn the world upside down.
Calvary Chapel is non-denominational
We are a part of an evangelical fellowship of churches
which began in 1965 in Southern California. Calvary Chapel has over one thousand
congregations worldwide. Doctrinally, Calvary Chapel is evangelical and strongly

fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who
promised is faithful; and let us consider how to stimulate
one another to love and good deeds, not forsaking our own
assembling together, as is the habit of some, but
encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day
drawing near. Hebrews 10:23-25
NASB
Calvary Chapel is a
non-denominational, Evangelical fellowship of churches which
began in 1965 in Southern California. The term
"fellowship of churches" is used in contrast to a
denomination. Calvary Chapel has over one thousand
congregations worldwide.
The original Calvary Chapel is Calvary
Chapel Costa Mesa which is pastored by Chuck Smith.
Doctrinally, Calvary Chapel is evangelical and strongly
committed to winning people to Christ and equipping them to
serve Him.
Calvary
Chapels use a pastor-led church governmental system.
Tongues and prophecy are not a normal part of Sunday
morning church services, but they are held as doctrinally
valid, as are all the gifts of the Spirit. Calvary
Chapels faithfully uphold expository teaching, a "verse by
verse, chapter by chapter, book by book" approach to
teaching the Bible. This essentially means that our sermons
are directly related to a passage of the Bible, and
following sermons will start where the previous sermon left
off (often this is done from Genesis to Revelation). We
hold the opinion that a steady diet of topical studies
only largely fail to present the "whole counsel of God"
(Acts 20:27) and that ministers who use this approach
often choose topics that they have a certain inclination to
teach, while leaving out important controversial issues
of the Bible. It is Calvary Chapel's desire to teach, not
just preach the word, in order to equip and train laymen
for everyday ministry as well as encourage development of
a personal relationship with Christ.
The Calvary
Chapels in Thailand as well as ministry in Myanmar is under
Love in Action, headed by Pastor Joe Tuccinardi
Love in Action missionary, Jum, moved to Thachatcai in
October 2006 from Ban Nam Khem to continue an outreach
started by Calvary Chapel Ban Nam Khem to this northern
Calvary Chapel Ban
Nam Khem (Southern
Thailand) Currently, the mother
church is a busy hub serving the needs of this community.
That church is pastored by Pastor Pichai, Pastor Joe and Joann Cochran.
With services in Thai, Burmese and English, many are
hearing the truth of Gods Word and are growing by leaps
and bounds
Love in Action
also runs a Burmese Christian school in Nam Khem designed to
gather the displaced refugee children from Thailand
s neighboring country. These otherwise forgotten children
have, not onlythe opportunity for education, but also
to learn about Christs unfailing love for them.
Pastor James also oversees the churches in Sukkothai,
Thachatchai, Udon Thani.
Sukhothai (Central Thailand)
Love in Action began its missions efforts in
Thailands Central Province
, Sukhothai. God has opened doors for Pastor Eric and
his wife MJ to oversee two churches to disciple and teach
Calvary Chapel stylethrough the Word. Mira is praying
about starting an orphanage as she and Vim Vim reach out to
the children sharing Gods Love.
Udon
Thani (Northern Thailand)
God blessed Love in Action with a building in the Northern city
of Udon Thani. Jonathan, a long time Thailand
missionary, along with Peter, his wife Elizabeth and their
daughter (all launched from Southern California) are there
teaching a bible study and reaching out to the community.
Pray for this new work as we see God's hand upon it.

Other information for
outreach teams
Are you looking for a place to serve that would challenge
and change your group? Are you looking for a place where you
can change lives and leave a mark after you leave?
Calvary Chapel would love to have your team from another
Calvary Chapel, other church, or YWAM come and partner with
us as we seek to bring the Gospel and disciple the people of
Thachatchai and the surrounding communities. There are
opportunities for your team to help this new church to begin
a nursery and childrens ministry programs. We also
need your help with street cleanup, the streets are
overgrown with weeds and other vegetation and littered with
trash. Hundreds of broken and missing sidewalk panels that
cover the storm drain need to be replaced. We want to
build a BMX bicycle track for all the children of our
village. Your team can do prayer walking and evangelism,
teach English at the Community Center and local schools. On
Saturdays your team can also hold a fun day for local area
kids and on Sunday your team can participate in church
service by sharing testimonies, dramas, and proclaim God in
a part of Thailand that is coming to know Him more and more
everyday!
